Day 1

Morning drive to Nairobi to visit Sheldrick’s Wildlife Trust for the 11am feeding of the orphaned elephants. Continue on to the Giraffe Conservation Center. Catch an afternoon flight to the Lamu Archipelago. Transfer via boat to Shela Village.

Check in Swahili Accommodations and enjoy the view. (B)

Day 2

Enjoy a sailing trip around the islands and through the channels on Hippo Dhow. The crew will prepare a fresh caught fish bbq on the boat while you swim and explore the beach. Return to Shela in the afternoon. (B, L)

Day 3

Free morning to enjoy the beach. Afternoon Samosa Making Class with the Shela Women’s Association. Learn how to make these traditional Swahili snacks and then enjoy them on a sunset dhow cruise. (B)

Day 4

Morning flight back to Nairobi. You can transfer to airport or book a day room at one of the airport hotels. (B)
